How to use Brow Powder Duo

When you hear the expression “two is better than one,” we wouldn’t blame you if Brow Powder Duo came to mind. This duo features two complementary shades to create ombre effects and pristine, customized colors in your eyebrows. The highly pigmented, finely milled formula of Brow Powder Duo delivers buildable intensity that also blends seamlessly for your most polished looks. Whether you prefer bold, defined brows or a more subtle, natural look, this versatile product lets you style your brows perfectly.  If it’s your first time using Brow Powder Duo, or if you want some extra tips for using it, this blog post is for you!   Step-By-Step With Brow Powder Duo Achieving impeccable, defined eyebrows is easy with Brow Powder Duo! The first thing you’ll want to do is select the right shades. The specially curated shade range is designed to match your natural hair color. You can use the lighter shade to create a background color for a shadow effect and the deeper shade to create hair-like strokes in sparse areas.  When it comes to applying Brow Powder Duo, it’s always a good idea to prep your brows. Start by brushing your eyebrows with a spoolie brush to shape and tame any unruly hairs, creating a clean canvas for the powder. Applying a small amount of Brow Primer or Brow Freeze® across the brow will also help the powder adhere to skin and brow hair. To apply, use the angled side of Brush 7B to apply the deeper shade from the highest point of your brow and work toward the end. Blend as you go for a natural look. Then apply the lighter shade through the front of the brow using light pressure. Blend with the spoolie brush for a natural-looking finish. Advanced Tips & Techniques  For extra dimension in your brows, pick up a small amount of Brow Primer or Brow Freeze® on Brush 7B and pinch the fibers together to create a thin, sharp angle. Then, gently dip the brush into Brow Powder Duo and stamp into sparse areas of your brow, creating hair-like strokes with expert precision.  Gently fill in sparse areas with light, upward strokes, avoiding too much pressure for a natural appearance. Remember, less is more! When blending, apply the powder in short, feathery strokes following the natural direction of your brow hairs. Blend with a spoolie brush to soften any harsh lines, giving you a well-defined look.  To enhance dimension, use Tinted Brow Gel to set color and brows in place. This gel will also keep your brows looking groomed and defined throughout the day. Simply comb it through your brows using an upward motion for a polished finish. With these simple tips and tricks, you'll be able to achieve your best-ever brows using Brow Powder Duo.

Rediscover Your Brow Routine

Does the new year have you wanting to try on a new look? Or maybe your resolution is more about getting back into a better routine? Either way, it’s a good time to look at your brow care the past year, and how to improve for the next! With that in mind, we’ve put together this handy quick-tip guide. Use it as a checklist to make sure you have the right products and you’re taking the right steps. At Anastasia Beverly Hills, we want everyone to have beautiful brows! Feathered Brows Ideal for: Sparse to full brows; light-colored and patchy brows Suitable for: All skill levels You’ll need: Volumizing Tinted Brow Gel, Brow Pen, Brow Freeze® Gel You might want: Brow Wiz®, Pro Pencil, Brush 20 It’s easy to create delightfully full-and-fluffy eyebrows in seconds when you know how. First, use Volumizing Tinted Brow Gel to create instant color and fullness. Next, add definition using Brow Pen to create hair-like strokes in patchy areas. Finally, lock your brows in place with Brow Freeze® Gel. If you want extra definition, reach for Brow Wiz® to further detail and define. Next, highlight your brow bone and define your shape with Pro Pencil. Blend with Brush 20 for a natural finish.  Ombre Brows Ideal for: Sparse to full brows Suitable for: All skill levels Get: Brow Freeze®, Brow Powder Duo, Brush 7B, Clear Brow Gel Extras: Highlighting Duo Pencil, Brush 20, Brow Pen For brows with a natural-looking gradient effect, we’ll naturally need to add a little color. So here, we’ll start with Brow Freeze® to shape and prep our brows to hold powder. Then, we’ll apply the deeper shade of Brow Powder Duo with Brush 7B to the highest point of the brow, working toward the end and blending as we go. Apply the lighter shade to the front of the brow and voila – instant ombre! Clear Brow Gel sets the brows and color. Next, highlight your brow bone and define your shape with Highlighting Duo Pencil. Blend with Brush 20 for a natural finish.    Sculpted Brows Ideal for: Sparse to full brows Suitable for: Intermediate (a little tricky for beginners) Get: Brow Freeze®, Brow Powder Duo, Brush 7B, DIPBROW® Pomade, Brush 12 Extras: Pro Pencil, Brush 20, Brow Pen For ultimate shape and definition with impact, sculpted brows are the way to go. The first steps are the same as for ombre brows – shape and prep with Brow Freeze®, shade with Brow Powder Duo – but we’ll finish with DIPBROW® Pomade for extreme definition and superior hold. Brush 12 is the brush of choice for applying this pomade. For highlighting and filling sparse areas, you want Pro Pencil, Brush 20 and Brow Pen in your makeup bag.   Laminated Brows Ideal for: Medium-sparse to full brows; unruly and coarse brow hair Suitable for: A little tricky for beginners Get: Brow Powder Duo, Brush 7B, Brow Pen, Brow Freeze® Gel Extras: Brow Powder Duo, Brow Primer, Pro Pencil Even with the calendar flipping to 2025, laminated brows are still a hot trend. To achieve this look – while taming uncooperative brow hairs at the same time – here’s what you need to know. First, softly fill and define your brows with Brow Powder Duo. (Applying Brow Primer as a first step is a good idea; it will help the powder adhere better.) Next, we add hair-like strokes in sparse areas with Brow Pen. Finally, lift and lock those brows with Brow Freeze® Gel, using the side of the applicator to lay brow hairs flat seamlessly. For highlighting and extra definition, add Pro Pencil to your routine before applying the holding gel.

Anastasia's Tips: For Sparse, Shapeless Brows

Do your brows lack shape and definition? Maybe there’s just not a lot of there there to work with. But Anastasia believes everyone deserves perfect brows – and you are no exception. With this how-to, we’ll show you how to whip those sparse, shapeless brows into beautiful shape. Step 1 For best results with sparse and shapeless brows, our Eyebrow Stencils will help you achieve perfectly balanced, symmetrical results every time. There are five stencils in the set, so you’ll want to use Anastasia’s patented Golden Ratio® shaping technique to make sure you’re working with the right stencil for your face. Find the stencil you need, then apply Brow Primer to your brow to get ready for the next step. Step 2 Line up the stencil on the three points of the Golden Ratio, making sure the black bar is parallel to the ground. Then, using the angled-side end of Brush 7B, apply the deeper shade of Brow Powder Duo from arch to tail. After that, apply the lighter shade through the front of the brow. Blend with the spoolie end of Brush 7B for a natural-looking finish. Step 3 Your brows should already be looking really good! But if you still have some sparse spots to take care of, grab some Brow Wiz®. This brow pencil is great for adding definition and detail. Starting at the highest point of your brow, sketch in hair-like strokes in the direction of your natural hair growth.  Work toward the end of your eyebrow, blending with the spoolie brush as you go for natural-looking results. Step 4 Finally, apply Clear Brow Gel in short, upward motions to set color and hold brow hairs in place for a clean, polished finish. This gel dries without leaving residue behind, giving brows a fuller-looking appearance. The last step: admire your dream brows!

Get The Look: Laminated Brows

What’s one of the hottest trends going right now? Brow lamination is an extremely popular, semi-permanent cosmetic procedure that straightens and sets eyebrows to create a fuller, more defined look. It’s sometimes called an “eyebrow perm.”  But did you know that you can achieve much the same effect for a night out with products from Anastasia Beverly Hills? The laminated brow look isn’t difficult to master or expensive to maintain – anyone can do it! All you need is to follow three simple steps and use these product recommendations. STEP 1: FILL Brow Powder Duo Use Brow Powder Duo and Brush 7B to softly fill and define your eyebrows. You can apply the two shades separately for a natural-looking ombre effect, or blend them together to create a custom shade! Apply the lighter shade in the front of the brow, and the deeper shade from the highest point of the brow (arch) to the end of the brow. Blend with the spoolie brush as you go for a soft, natural-looking finish.  For best results, consider prepping with Brow Primer before applying Brow Powder Duo. One swipe of this colorless wax pencil will adhere the powder to the skin and hair for a seamless application.   STEP 2: DETAIL Brow Pen Next, let’s build dimension and fullness using Brow Pen, a superfine-tipped detailing pen that creates natural-looking brows. For best results, shake it before using, then use light pressure as you apply hair-like strokes in your sparse areas. Start by applying Brow Pen at the highest point of the brow and work toward the end of the brow, then lightly etch through the front. If your brow needs some additional definition or highlighting, our Pro Pencil is a versatile multi-tasking tool. To apply, start at the base of the brow and sweep from front to end, following your brow shape. Use the flat side of Brush 20 to soften and blend edges, using short, downward strokes. STEP 3: FINISH Brow Freeze® Gel Finally, let’s laminate and lock those brows in place! Brow Freeze® Gel is an innovative wax-gel hybrid that shapes, sculpts and sets brows with extreme hold. It can be used by itself on the go, but here we’re going to use it as the finishing touch for long-lasting results. For extreme, extra-long hold, we recommend Brow Freeze® styling wax.
